Reviews of Brother Jon's

A few samples of what people are saying about Brother Jon's Public House in Bend, Oregon.

“The back patio is an excellent spot for an afternoon drink in warmer weather and you can also huddle around the fire when it’s cold. The cottage interior is cozy and welcoming. A full bar and a selection of tap beers that includes PBR and Rainer tall boys and other domestics allow you to enjoy a pub atmosphere without being trapped into drinking microbrews exclusively. And the omnipresent owners and other cheerful staff make you feel like you’re a regular on your first visit.”

The Bend Bulletin

“Brother Jon’s Public House has emerged as one of Central Oregon’s better budget dining options. Owned and operated by two veterans of the Deschutes Brewery and the Downtowner cafe — John Machell and Steve Barnette — it’s a casual joint that has quickly established itself as a neighborhood favorite.”

“My department has been frequenting Bend Restaurants for luncheons for the past 2.5 years. Normally it’s large chains with mediocre at best food. One call to Brother Jon’s Public House and they set us up for lunch for 12, provided phenomenal service, amazing food, and followed up later in the day to make sure we were pleased. Oh….and did I mention that they also wished me happy birthday on FB? Kudos….keep up the good work. You are the Les Schwab of restaurants!”

“I’ve gushed over Brother Jon’s in the past but that was just about their regular menu. Lately I’ve been all over their specials. I love showing up and seeing whats on the big chalk board for that day. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Brother Jon’s is my favorite restaurant/hangout in Bend right now. Everything is great and its all priced right.” Read More.
